Hurray for Guatemala is run by David and Maria Hurray here in the US while operations in Guatemala are handled by Gustavo Rivera.We met while I was living in Antigua Guatemala and we currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada.The idea for the business came from walking the markets of Antigua and trying to figure out how I was going to fit so much great stuff in my luggage!The tourists who shopped alongside me seemed as excited as I was about the workmanship and beauty of all the rare and one of a kind products that Guatemala had to offer,so the idea hit me; take some home and find a way to market it.
Mr. Rivera goes to great lengths to choose only the highest quality items to send to us for resale.I went with him on many shopping excursions and quickly learned why knowing your stuff is so important there.Some items can be found cheap and look very similiar to more expensive ones,but upon washing will bleed colors.Others will begin to fall apart after only a few washes.I lived in Guatemala for two years and found out the difference very quickly,but not without wasting alot of money on inferior products first!As a result,you may find cheaper prices at times,but trust me its better to pay a few dollars more for better quality.We stand behind all the products and plan to try to be reactive if we find that something isnt up to the quality that our customers require.Always feel free to contact us at any time to let us know if there is a problem so we can ship a replacement item if the need be.We thank you very much for your purchases and we hope to be of as much help as you require.Any questions can be directed to hurrayd@hotmail.com.
